Buy Ham in Bulk.
Meaning buy it with the bone in when you find it on sale for a good rate per pound.
This $10 ham can make a lot of meals. I’m guessing around 8-10 meals (5-6 servings each). So on the high side let’s guess 8 meals of 5 servings. That’s 40 servings, equaling $0.25 a serving. That goes down if you can make more.
I set aside about 20 minutes after I buy a ham like this. I slice some (big slices of ham for dinners, smaller slices for breakfast sandwiches), chop around 1/2 of it for casseroles, and leave some ham on the bone to bag and freeze for Ham and Beans.
